About Omaha, Nebraska

Omaha is called the Gateway to the West. Culturally, though, many things are happening here. Here are two. There’s the Omaha Blues, Jazz, and Gospel Festival in August. That certainly brings together many musical influences. Omaha also contains a similar bringing-together of religious denominations. Perhaps, this variety is part of the true nature of being a gateway city. If Omaha is metaphorically the last stop where people and cultures come together before stepping toward the wide-open west where anything or nothing goes, it will be necessary for Omaha to create a good springboard for humanity. So, how ‘bout dat?
